The City of Fort Myers recognizes the need to replace utilities in the Evans Avenue Neighborhood where infrastructure has been in place for many years. Beginning this month, the City is scheduled to replace sanitary sewer and water mains and install storm drainage. The project also includes some new sidewalk and will replace disturbed sidewalk on both sides of Evans Avenue from Providence Street south to Dr. Ella Piper Way, and finally, roadway resurfacing. Crews are expected to work during daytime hours from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The project is expected to be complete at the end of 2020.
