East Water Storage Tank & Pump Station

Early 2021, contractors for the City of Fort Myers will begin building a new East Water Storage Tank and Pump Station facility to better serve the growing community in the Treeline Avenue area. New housing and commercial developments in the southeast service area of the City of Fort Myers have resulted in an increase in potable water demand and occasional decrease in potable water pressure during peak demand periods. While the water pressure has been maintained well within regulatory standards, the drop in pressure during peak season does not meet the goal for the high level of service the City desires to provide all citizens connected to their public water system. To correct and prevent periods of lower than target water pressure, the City is building a pump station and a water storage tank facility to maintain water pressure during periods of peak water demand.
